What this compares. Your current average power bill of $213 a month against your solar payment of $150.65 a month, over 25 years. Utility escalated at 7.5% per year, solar at 2.99% per year.
Still an Ameren customer. At 98% offset the proposal shows a remaining Ameren bill of about $92 a month in year one, mostly fixed connection charges. That remaining bill is not subtracted from the savings figure above. Counting it, and escalating it at the same 7.5%, the 25-year net is about $32,879.
Where the numbers come from. System specs, production, offset, the $150.65 monthly payment and the 2.99% solar escalator were all read from your Solo proposal on 2026-07-29. The 7.5% utility escalation is Rundle Solar's standard planning assumption, not a figure from the proposal.
Ameren has been moving fast. The June 2025 supply price rose roughly 50%, and the June 2026 supply price went from 8.769 cents to about 11 cents per kWh. Past increases do not guarantee future ones.
